About

Built next to a real front desk.

Molar started with a specific practice and a specific problem: the front desk was doing work that software should have been doing, and the software they had wasn’t doing it.

OpenDental is not the problem. It holds the chart, the schedule, and the ledger, and it does that well. But the layer on top of it, the one that talks to patients and keeps the schedule full, was a stack of phone calls, sticky notes, and whichever staff member remembered to run the recall report.

Most of the products that promise to fix that want you to move. New practice-management system, new chart, migration, retraining, months of disruption for a problem that lives entirely at the front desk. That trade never made sense.

So Molar sits on top of the OpenDental you already run. It reads your real schedule, talks to your patients, and writes the results back into your chart. If you stopped using it tomorrow, everything it did would already be in the place your practice keeps records.

We’re early, and we’re onboarding practices one at a time on purpose, close enough to each one to fix what’s wrong quickly. If you run an independent practice on OpenDental and the front desk is drowning, that’s exactly who this is for.
